Nepal Telecom is preparing to provide mobile money service, where you can use mobile balance to pay for goods and services. When this goes into effect, you can pay for your bills using mobile balance. “There will be some restrictions”, says the Min Prasad Aryal, the director of Nepal Telecom.

According to him, you can only pay for services/goods up to Rs.1,000. Similarly, the upper ceiling is Rs 10,000 per month. Moreover, the seller should accept this payment without adding any extra service charges.

However, there are restrictions on the type of devices, that can be used to acquire this service. This would be necessary for security purposes.
