New Delhi. Taapsee Pannu is known in Bollywood as an actress who speaks her mind. Recently Taapsee complained about actresses getting paid less than the male counterparts for equal efforts.
She said “… Half of the salary of the leading hero is the entire budget of a female-driven film of an A-list actress..”.
Taapsee is a growing actress with successful acting on films such as “Badia”, “Baby” and “Saand Ki Aankh”. She also added gender pay equality could happen if “more and more people walk into a female-driven film in theatres.”
She added in her film Badla, “I had more working days or scenes so to say than Mr. Bachchan….they call it an Amitabh Bachchan film”. Further, she said, “..half of the salary of the leading hero is the entire budget of a female-driven film of an A-list actress…”.
