A nice swim can do wonders to your body and mind specially during summer. Kathmandu, though has limited water, has some nice pools that you can go to cool yourself. Here is our list.
Swoyambhu Rec Center
This is a nice swimming pool and costs Rs 300 as entry fee. If you want to take membership it will cost Rs.1000 a month. Want to go with the family? There is family package as well.
National Sports Complex, Satdobato
This is a public swimming pool. If you are short of budget, this is the swimming pool for you. This might not be a good choice for those who need more privacy and hate the crowds.
Hotel Mulberry, Thamel
This infinity pool is on the 8th floor. The views of Kathmandu are amazing from here. This might be little expensive. Their Monday – Friday price is Rs.1500 and the same thing for Saturday and Sunday is Rs.1800.
Dhanyentri, Hadigoun, Dhumbarai
The great thing about Dhanyentri Pool is that it has separate pools for the kids and the adults. They also have post-swim sun loungers. The pool itself is 25 meters long.
Hyatt Regency, Boudha
Hyatt are known for the luxury. They also have two pools – one for children and another for the adults. You can also enjoy drinks and foods from the nearby Terrace Bar. THe cost is around Rs1,300 for the adult and Rs 900 for children (both excluding taxes).
