A graduate of Harvard University, Alex Schemmer has also studied with faculty at the New England Conservatory, the American Repertory Theater, and at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in the UK. While at Harvard, he starred as the Emcee in Cabaret, performed as a member of the historic Hasty Pudding Theatricals, and sang with the Harvard Krokodiloes (a twelve-man a Capella group) with whom he traveled to over twenty countries including Thailand, Australia, Zimbabwe, Switzerland, and Peru. Since moving to Los Angeles, Alex has appeared in two feature films, The Yellow Wallpaper and Bleached; the television series “Dexter” and “What About Brian”; and countless commercials and music videos. Most recently he was featured in the CBS pilot “Demons” and starred in the Showtime Network’s pilot “Shadow Point.” He also appeared on stage as Romeo in Shakespeare Orange County’s production of Romeo & Juliet and as Richard Loeb in the LA premiere of Thrill Me: the Leopold and Loeb Story. As a writer he wrote the screenplay “Responsible Adults” starring Katie Holmes and Chace Crawford.
