June is fairly hot in Kathmandu, which is both the capital city and also the business hub of the country. Kathmandu is a mid-hill valley.

In June the temperature of Kathmandu has a high of around 29 degrees in the mid-day while at nights that temperature drops to an average of 18 degrees.

June is the monsoon season in Nepal. The rainfall varies from around 200 cm to 400 cm. In rain shadow areas that amount is less than 50 cm.

Most of the trails in June are muddy so pick your gears accordingly. The mountains may not have their best look but rain shadows are on their best.
