Poi Paryo Kale released on 25th October. The title in English means “Husband Happened to be Dark (skinned)”. The title is obviously offensive to those with dark skin. This title also implies a lack of seriousness.
However, this film has a delicate twist and the movie builds upon the skin colour to show that the nature of a person is much more important than their skin colour.
The story is full of holes. The makers must have probably tried to make a comedy movie without much success. The storyline is thin and short. Basically, a girl who hates dark-skinned persons, by fate, gets married to a dark-skinned person. She now desperately has to hide this fact from her friends.
