It has been decided to hold the election of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) in mid-August.

Earlier, the federation officials had decided to hold a general meeting in the second week of August. FNCCI Vice President Chandra Dhakal informed that the working committee meeting on Monday took the decision.

The date was postponed due to the epidemic of Covid-19.

After the general assembly, the current senior vice president Shekhar Golchha will automatically become the president of the federation. Elections will be held for other posts, including the senior vice president. Incumbents Chandra Dhakal and Kisor Pradhan have announced their candidacies for the position of senior vice-president.
