May 23. Kathmandu. Gopal Shrestha, an HIV-positive, has scaled Everest on May 22, 2019. He reached Everest top at around 7:30 am.
Gopal Shrestha had tried to reach the Everest Top three years back too. In 2019, when the Earthquake stcuck, he was at base camp preparing for his first attempt.
He has bagged the title of being the first known HIV-positive who has scaled Everest.
