May 15. Kathmandu. Every expedition season, it is up to the Sherpas (mainly) to fix ropes on the world’s highest mountain so as to help other climbers reach the top after them. This also helps to save lives. This task for this year has been completed.
Eight members of this year’s rope fixing team was headed by Siddhi Bahadur Tamang. They have put the ropes in place. Now, the climbing season has formally started.
People eyeing to climb Mount Everest have already started to assemble at the base camp.
