On the one hand, some Hindi movies in India have managed to draw the audience to the cinema house and reach 2 billion clubs while Hollywood movies have also managed to maintain their magic. Here are some of the best-performing movies at the box office from January to August 2019:
First, let’s talk about Bollywood movies. In 2019, three Hindi movies completed figures of 2 billion, including the names of Uri The Surgical Strike, Bharat and Kabir Singh. However, the first place on this list is Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer movie Kabir Singh.
The film has managed to remain in the first place of the list, with an overall collection of 2 hundred 78 crore 24 lakhs. Vicky kaushal and Yami Gautam’s film Uri The Surgical Strike was screened on January 11, which has managed to collect over 2 hundred 45 crore 36 lakhs. The movie is ranked second in terms of revenue. The third most successful movie is Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat. The movie was successful in collecting over 2 hundred 11 crore 7 lakhs in total.
Speaking of the rest of the movie, Akshay Kumar’s Kesari succeeded in making an overall collection of 1 hundred 54 crore 41 lakhs, Total Dhamaal collect 1 hundred 54 crore 23 lakhs, Super 30 collect 1 hundred 50 crore, and Gully Boy collect 1 hundred 40 crore 25 lakhs.
After these movies comes the Mission Mangal. The movie, which is still being screened in cinema halls, has collected more than 1 hundred 14 crore so far. After this comes the movie name of De De Pyaar De, who has managed to earn 1 hundred 3 crore 64 lakhs in total.
It is speculated that the Multistarrer movie Mission Mangal is doing well so far and this movie is likely to make a new record.
Talking about Hollywood movies, as always this year, these movies have managed to do well. The Avengers Endgame, which was released on April 26, has managed to collect over 3 hundred 73 crore 22 lakhs. Since then The Lion King has managed to stay in second place, earning 1 hundred 55 crore 16 lakhs in total.
