May 7. Kathmandu. Sukraraj Tropical Infectious Disease Hospital and National Public Health Laboratory at Teku has confirmed that a 45 year old person has caught Cholera in Kathmandu.
Cholera causes severe watery diarrhoea resulting in severe dehydration that may lead to death if not treated in time. The doctors have raised the possibility that this person might have got cholera through contaminated water.
Doctors advise to drink safe water and visit hospitals in case of severe watery diarrheoa, vomiting, nausea and muscle cramp.
