May 6. Biratnagar. As per the legal process, Biratnagar has been declared the headquarter of Province 1. The provincial Assembly endorsed this decision with two thirds majority.
The proposal was tabled by the ruling state government. The structures for legislative, executive and other required offices will soon be constructed in the extensive Birat region.
