Regarding the organizational social responsibility, HBL has provided Rs. 5 lakhs as financial support to ‘Teach for Nepal’ for sending volunteer teachers to provide quality education to various students studying in the government/local community schools of rural areas to ensure that the students studying there get an equal education as that of private school students.
Teach for Nepal is an on-purpose organization that is committed to ending education inequality in public schools in Nepal and has been working for 6 years to provide equal quality education to students of government schools.
The CEO of HBL Mr. Ashok Shamsher Rana has handed over the check to the CEO of Teach for Nepal Mr. Sishir Khanal in a formal meet as you can see the picture above.
Also, HBL has been involved in such types of social activities by providing help, support and relief materials to the victims. Teach for Nepal institution has covered six districts and runs 67 schools where 270 volunteer teachers are involved and more than 30 thousand students are given quality education.
It is the kind act of Himalayan bank to help needy ones. If each individual could donate a small amount for social work, saving from their miscellaneous expenses then this world would be a better place.
