7th May. Kathmandu. There are different types of blood group and a body can only take its blood type. Hence, in most cases before transfusing blood it is necessary to check the recipients as well as donor’s blood type to find a match.
But at Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center, because of the mismatch between the donor and the recipient, it has cost a life.
Akriti Kumari Shah, from Sarlahi, has lost her life due to this mistake. She was undergoing heart surgery in the same hospital.
