Nepal’s favorite and top cricket player, Sandeep Lamichhane just got his VISA application declined by the US Embassy on 13 August 2019 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Lamichanne shared his dissatisfaction on his Twitter, stating that he found this to be a big surprise. Having toured around the world, Lamichhane was filled with excitement to take part in the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2019 tournament in the USA. But, his excitement was short-lived!

On his second post, he further expressed how this situation is bound to become an obstacle in his career. In his tweet, he also mentioned the PM of Nepal, Ambassador of US, Hello Sarkar, Pradeep Gyawali, and Mofa Nepal. Lamichhane had earlier played in 2018 edition of CPL for St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.

Let’s hope the Nepal government and US government will surely work together to sort it out as this decision isn’t turning out to be a good sign.
